Vice Conference Chair

Lacey Ryan, LMFT, RPT-Sā„¢ serves as our Vice Conference Chair. This role supports the Conference and Training Chair in planning, coordinating, and implementing the Tennessee Association for Play Therapy (TNAPT) annual conference and other educational programs. This position helps ensure the successful execution of professional development opportunities while preparing to assume the Conference and Training Chair role in the future.

Duties Include:

  • Assist the Conference and Training Chair in planning and coordinating the annual TNAPT conference and educational events.

  • Serve as an active member of the Conference and Training Committee and participate in committee meetings.

  • Assist with conference logistics, including venue coordination, registration, scheduling, audiovisual needs, catering, signage, and event materials.

  • Help recruit and communicate with conference presenters, exhibitors, sponsors, and vendors.

  • Assist in collecting presenter biographies, learning objectives, presentation materials, disclosures, and continuing education documentation.

  • Coordinate volunteer recruitment, scheduling, and orientation for conferences and workshops..

  • Assist with attendee registration and on-site event operations, including presenter support and participant services.

  • Work with the Treasurer and Conference and Training Chair to monitor event budgets and track conference expenses.

  • Collaborate with the Communications Chair and  Social Media Chair  to promote conferences, workshops, and registration opportunities.

  • Assist in developing conference evaluations and compiling attendee feedback for future planning.

  • Help maintain records related to conference attendance, continuing education credits, evaluations, and event outcomes.

  • Perform other duties assigned by the Conference and Training Chair or Board of Directors.

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Support the successful implementation of TNAPT educational programming through collaboration and effective teamwork.

  • Assist in identifying innovative educational topics and qualified presenters.

  • Help foster positive relationships with presenters, exhibitors, sponsors, volunteers, and attendees.

  • Promote member engagement by encouraging participation in conferences and educational events.

  • Develop the knowledge and experience necessary to assume the Conference and Training Chair position in the future.
