Treasurer
Courtney A. Brandon, LPC-MHSP-S, RPT™ serves as our board Treasurer. She is responsible for the oversight and management of all TNAPT funds, including managing tracking reports to be shared monthly during board meetings.
Duties include:
Maintain accurate and complete financial records for TNAPT.
Receive, deposit, and monitor all TNAPT funds and revenue sources.
Manage TNaPT’s bank accounts and financial systems.
Pay authorized expenses, reimbursements, and invoices in a timely manner.
Maintain records of all financial transactions and supporting documentation.
Prepare and present financial reports on a quarterly basis
Provide monthly reports on income, expenses, account balances, and budget performance.
Develop and recommend an annual operating budget in collaboration with the President, Executive Committee, and Board of Directors.
Monitor budget adherence and advise the Board regarding financial trends, opportunities, and concerns.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and nonprofit financial reporting requirements.
Coordinate the preparation and filing of required tax documents, including IRS filings and state reporting requirements.
Maintain financial records in accordance with nonprofit accounting best practices and applicable laws.
Assist in developing financial policies, internal controls, and procedures to safeguard Association assets.
Prepare annual financial reports for members
Work with conference, training, and event committees to monitor event budgets and financial outcomes.
Oversee membership revenue tracking and other TNAPT income sources.
Maintain records necessary for audits, financial reviews, or other compliance activities.
Facilitate a smooth transition of financial records, passwords, and banking information to future Treasurers.
Serve as a point of contact for TNAPT members regarding TNAPT finances
Financial Oversight Responsibilities
Advise the Board regarding TNAPT’s financial position and long-term sustainability.
Monitor cash flow and reserve funds.
Ensure expenditures are authorized according to Board-approved policies.
Recommend financial strategies that support TNAPT's growth and strategic goals.
Assist the Board in evaluating the financial impact of proposed initiatives and programs.
