Social Media/Marketing Chair
Montoyia Horner, LPC/MHSP, RPT™ serves as TNAPT’s social media and marketing chair. She is responsible for promoting the mission, events, educational opportunities, and community engagement of the Tennessee Association for Play Therapy through the organization's social media platforms. This role helps increase visibility, member engagement, and public awareness of play therapy and TNAPT activities.
Duties include:
Develop and implement a social media strategy that aligns with TNAPT's mission and annual goals.
Create, schedule, and publish engaging content across TNAPT's social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) on a weekly basis.
Promote upcoming workshops, conferences, networking events, webinars, and other chapter activities.
Highlight member achievements, board members, presenters, volunteers, and community partnerships.
Share evidence-based information, resources, and advocacy related to play therapy while adhering to APT and TNAPT ethical standards.
Collaborate with the Communications Chair, Member Engagement and Outreach Chair, and board members to ensure consistent messaging and branding.
Monitor social media accounts by responding appropriately to comments, messages, and inquiries or directing them to the appropriate board member.
Maintain a professional and positive online presence that reflects the values of the Association.
Ensure that all images and content posted have appropriate permissions and protect client confidentiality in accordance with ethical and legal standards.
Track social media analytics (engagement, reach, follower growth, etc.) and provide quarterly reports to the Board of Directors.
Maintain a content calendar to ensure regular and timely communication.
Stay informed of current social media trends and recommend strategies to improve member engagement and organizational visibility.
Assist in promoting Play Therapy Week, membership drives, fundraising initiatives, and special campaigns.
Archive branding materials, graphics, and passwords according to policies and facilitate a smooth transition to future Social Media Chairs.
