Dr. Paris Goodyear-Brown,PhD, LCSW, RPT-Sā¢, is the board president of TNAPT. The President provides overall leadership, structure, and oversight for TNAPT, ensuring the organization fulfills its mission and responsibilities. overseeing member support and board meetings.
Duties include:
Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for TNAPT
Preside over all member and board meetings
Ensure implementation of board votes and resolutions
Review APT quarterly reports for branch compliance/Gold Branch Status
Attend Quarterly APT Branch President meetings or designate a representative
Attend the annual APT Branch President conference or assign a representative if unable to attend
Review financial records monthly and ensure annual financial records are submitted appropriately
Collaborate with the Treasurer to oversee the financial health of the TNAPT and approve expenditures as authorized by Board policy.
Maintain compliance with TNAPT bylaws
Ensure TNAPT is in compliance with annual operating budget
Provide oversight of all TNAPT statewide activities
Serve as primary point of contact for TNAPT members
Ensure continuity of leadership by mentoring the President-Elect and supporting succession planning.
Perform other duties assigned by the Board of Directors or required by the bylaws.

Recognize and support the contributions of volunteers and committee members.
